A Way Out does NOT support cross-platform multiplayer. Steam/PC players cannot play with PlayStation (PS5/PS4) or Xbox friends online. Both players must be on the same console family or both on PC. Local split-screen couch co-op is supported on all systems.
Free Friend's Pass (Same-Platform Only)
Only one person needs to own the full game. Your co-op partner can download the free "A Way Out Friend's Pass" on the same platform and play the entire story without purchasing a second copy. Note: Friend's Pass does NOT work across different platforms.
EA Account Required for Online Play
Online co-op requires both players to link their platform profile to a free EA Account.
